This was actually from La Jolla, our last day in S.D., but I thought I'd put it first because it makes me warm just looking at it...
One of the memories as a kid living in San Diego--- Old Town. I remember it being quite a big different, but I was 6 at the time and probably was only interested in the tortillas.
Cabrillo National Monument, with Senor Cabrillo behind us.
On Point Loma at the Cabrillo National Monument with San Diego behind us.
One of our obsessions: riding things. This whale was at Cabrillo National Monument on Point Loma.
One of my other obsessions: lighthouses. I can't get enough. Also at Cabrillo Nat'l Moument.
Jay at Balboa Park. I was trying to get that dome to look like it was Jay's hat. It didn't really work.
A sculpture outside a children's museum at Balboa Park.
One thing we had planned on doing was riding these Segway scooters at La Jolla Beach. They didn't have any there, so we went down to Mission Beach and found a place renting them. We had them for an hour and rode around the bay on a little pathway with joggers and bikers. It was pretty hard for me to get the hang of at first, but after about 5 minutes I had it down.If only GOB were here...
If you don't know who that is, you really need to watch "Arrested Development" immediately.
Jay lookin' hot...
Me on my favorite staircase at La Jolla Cove. We lived in San Diego for a summer when I was 6, and this concrete staircase that goes onto the beach is what I remember. When the tide is high, it covers the bottom of the staircase, and for some reason that really stuck with me. It is quite the flight of stairs, though...
On the beach at La Jolla CoveFor our last day, we went back through Redlands, where we stayed for the first three days of our trip. Redlands is also where Jay served a good chunk of his mission and then lived for 7 or 8 years...it's also where we got engaged. So it's quite a meaningful city to us. We got to do a session at the Redlands Temple, which is gorgeous.

it looks like you guys had such a fun time! it looks so warm and sunny...it makes me want to go to california so bad!
Look at you riding a segway, Demanding To Be Taken Seriously. How GOB-like. I approve.
Oh I am so jealous of you two! I can almost feel how warm it was from your pictures! =)
You can count on the McIntosh's and Cuca's being here when you come back! :)
I love San Diego. You're making me miss it. I had my bridal pictures taken at Windandsea Beach. It's in between La Jolla Cove and Pacific Beach. You have to walk in between some houses to get there. We go there every time to take pictures as our family grows. Glad to see you had a wonderful time.
